A brief history of 3614 Roosevelt Road.

The original 3614 Roosevelt Road location was occupied by Gordon Adkins restaurant, as depicted in this old post card, probably from the early 1930s.

By the late 1930s, Gordon Adkins had moved his restaurant to 10th and Broadway, maintaining his trademark facade. The car in this post card is a late 1930s Chrysler Airflow.

After World War II, Gordon Adkins on Broadway closed and the restaurant became The Ritz Grill.

With the move of Gordon Adkins to Broadway, the first incarnation of Hank's Dog House, "Hank's Catering House", took over the 3614 Roosevelt road building with few changes. The maroon and white police car is a 1949, 1950, or 1951 Ford, so this post card is from the late 1940s or the very early 1950s.

By the mid-1950s, Hank's had refurbished the building and changed the facade, as shown by this postcard from 1956.
